Notes to Applicant BASIC PURPOSE:
To give direct patient care to the acutely ill and injured and to include appropriate care to those suffering from any condition considered by either the patient or his physician to require immediate attention: by assessing and observing each patient's needs on admission to the ED; then carrying out indicated nursing procedures and assisting the physician with treatments and procedures as ordered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of West Virginia.

2. One to two years of critical care nursing, emergency nursing or EMS background preferred.

3. Certification in emergency nursing preferred.

4. Must have current CPR card within first 6 weeks of hire.

5. Must be willing to complete the ACLS PALS, TNCC or BTLS course within one year after hire date.
