Basic Function of Position:
Uses all radiographic equipment in the department to perform examinations of various parts of the body.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education and/or Experience:
Ø Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technologist.
Ø Registered by the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists.
Ø Current licensure as a Registered Technologist by the State of West Virginia.
B. Skills and Abilities:
Ø Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, posses the ability to assess the patient’s status according to the patient’s age specific needs and provides care accordingly.
V. Physical Requirements:
Ø Requires standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time, as well as repeated bending, squatting, and stooping which can subject employee to stress and fatigue.
Ø Possible exposure to all patient elements including communicable diseases and body fluids (Category I).
Ø Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for easy and skillful use of hands when working with files and office equipment.
Ø Requires the ability to lift and carry items of various weights and sizes.
Ø Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal hearing ranges.
Ø Requires verbal ability to communicate with patients and hospital staff and form perception to observe pertinent details. |
