Basic Function of Position:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care for inpatients, outpatients, and the emergency department. In addition, the therapist in charge will be responsible for finding/providing departmental coverage of unscheduled absences, troubleshoot problems with equipment, and act as department supervisor when the cardiopulmonary director is unavailable.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education and/or Experience:
Ø Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy Program.
Ø Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Ø Current W. V. Board of Respiratory Care Licensure required.
Ø Two (2) years experience in respiratory therapy preferred. |
