RSUI has a great entry-level opportunity available for a Communications and Events Assistant. This individual will provide administrative and design support for the Communications and Travel & Events Teams including assisting with various communications, on-site events (departmental catering requests, broker seminars, and employee events) and off-site events (registration, associated orders).

Specific responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the compiling and design of printed / electronic materials for internal / external audiences (Marketing presentations/resources, event materials, branded materials, etc.)
  • Gather information and organize written content/data in a clear, concise manner
  • Assist Travel and Events Planners as requested
  • Assist with business travel arrangements for RSUI employees
  • Assist with onsite events including planning, coordinating, and execution
  • Assist with employee and broker questions regarding events and outings
  • Assist with photography and video projects
  • Provide clerical and technical support
  • Various other duties and assigned

The ideal candidate will have the ability to complete a variety of tasks as directed while still exhibiting their own creativity and initiative. They will be eager to complete all tasks, no matter how large or small. To be considered, candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent business experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Creative Cloud products a plus
  • Detail-oriented and organized individual with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (phone, e-mail, interpersonal) • Excellent team player with positive, can-do attitude
