FUNCTION:

To serve as the lead technical staff in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end users for assigned Agency business applications. Research, recommend, and implement new functionality for assigned applications. Ensure assigned applications are updated, operational, and meet the needs of end users.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must possess excellent problem solving and time management skills. Extensive experience with SQL server. Must possess excellent knowledge of MS Windows operating systems, TCP/IP networking protocol, and relational database management software. Must be thoroughly familiar with a variety of data extraction and formatting tools and techniques. Knowledge of or ability to learn specialized software determined by the Director of IT. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a diverse employee population. Reliability, flexibility, willingness, and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed or assigned. Physical condition or reasonable accommodation(s) commensurate with the demands of the job.

Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or business related area plus one (1) year of experience providing end-user support to business applications in a large, networked environment, OR Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or business related area plus three (3) years of experience providing end-user support to business applications in a large, networked environment.
