Description RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Information Systems

FUNCTION:

Primary responsibility is for the management and maintenance of all assigned Agency personal computer and system and network software, as well as, the management and maintenance of all personal computer software applications. Will perform technical research of all newly requested computer hardware and software applications and will make recommendations for acquisition to Director of Information Systems. Will assist the systems administrator in managing and maintaining assigned network sites.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a diverse employee population. Reliability, flexibility, willingness, and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed or assigned. Ability to work with and train computer users in the use of personal computer software applications and basic personal computer operations. Physical condition or reasonable accommodation(s) commensurate with the demands of the job. Knowledge of or acquaintance with TRC departments, locations, operations and demonstrated ability to train users in all applications. Will possess and demonstrate knowledge of specialized computer applications as required by the department.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PC/LAN COORDINATOR I: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and one (1) year of experience repairing and maintaining computer hardware; OR Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience repairing and maintaining computer hardware, a minimum of one (1) year of which involved PC-based local area network support experience Must possess or be working towards receipt of A + certification status.

PC/LAN COORDINATOR II: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and one (1) year of experience repairing and maintaining computer hardware; OR Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience repairing and maintaining computer hardware, a minimum of one (1) year of which involved PC-based local area network support experience Must possess or be working towards receipt of A + certification status.
