Description General Summary: The Channel Manager will be responsible for the development and management of strategic Agent relationships for RCN/Grande. They will act as a “conduit” to link RCN/Grande strategy to Agent strategy helping to develop and execute strategic plan for driving overall sales revenue through the new and existing distribution channels.

Key activities include: Agent portfolio development, sales and services program execution, partner readiness and enablement, sales and sales support; interface with sales, systems engineering and marketing teams to develop effective programs and promotions that Agents can leverage to increase sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Agents with creating account plans & strategies to win new business from customers.
• Develop and deploy long-range Agent business plan enablement strategies.
• Drive Agents to support aggressive revenue growth goals.
• Assist Agents in development of pricing/proposals, order entry and implementation.
• Serve as an internal advocate for systems and process readiness for Agent.
• Recruit new Agents in assigned territory.
• Represent company within the telecomm industry and be responsible for growing & maintaining the RCN/Grande’s reputation.
• Provide strong leadership by fostering solid relationships at the executive level with the Agents.
• Recommend and implement sub agent incentives.
• Serve as an escalation path for end customers or Agents to ensure excellent customer experience.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable activities as need.
• Coordinate Agent training and provide input on training content and process based on communications with Agents, Industry best practices, or recommended process improvements.
• Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota.
• Review and ensure accuracy of overall channel information and provide reports to upper management.
• Demonstrate RCN/Grande’s Core Values and maintain a positive demeanor.


Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of sales experience with a minimum of 5 in channel sales.
• Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding targets as well as accurately forecasting account and volume activities.
• Aggressive in achieving results, while collaborating and communicating effectively with other members of the team.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to his/her mission.
• Experience in developing significant long-term relationships and motivating senior executives to achieve desired results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and CRM software.
• Communication: Expert written and verbal communication skills.
• Business Acumen: Must have an expert understanding of financial measures and planning.
• Must have a solid understanding of telecommunications industry and indirect sales model.
• Problem Solving: Expert analytical skills.
• Experienced in analyzing complex issues, distilling and communicating their relevant aspects.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including executive team members.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail oriented in treatment of pricing and contracts.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
