||Financial Analyst II - Revenue
Responsible for monthly G/L closing, including preparation of journal entries, reviewing balance sheet and income statement accounts and financial reporting and special projects.
Prepares journal entries, posts data, maintains and reconciles multiple ledger accounts. Recommends improvements in methods, systems, or procedures.
Responsible for Revenue, Deferred Revenue and Deferred Cost of Goods Sold accounts and perform analysis.
Manage customer rebates, reconciliations and analysis
Assists in the accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results
Provides support to Financial Planning & Analysis group
Prepares support for financial filings to the SEC and /or other regulatory agencies
Supports tax returns file preparations
Perform special projects as needed and assist with Sarbanes Oxley 404 process, including process write-ups, walkthroughs and testing
Monthly closing preparation and analysis
Reviews professional literature and receives training to keep abreast of local, national and international financial and accounting principles, laws, and regulatory requirements. Ensures transactions are posted correctly per Generally Accepted Accounting Practices
(GAAP), and ensures compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and practices.
||Skills & Experience:
Understanding of technical accounting principles and public company filing requirements.
Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
Demonstrated systems experience with the ability to propose, develop and implement financial systems and reporting solutions
Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and efficiently and to keep manager informed of issues
Education & Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance
3-5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience within a global organization
