The Senior Cost Analyst will be part of the finance team reporting to the Director of Cost Accounting, working closely with teams of manufacturing operation, procurement, planning, engineering, and business divisions. This is a hands on position, requiring a self-motivated individual, who has well developed skills in accounting, financial analysis, and production process improvements, can thrive in rapid change environment, work effectively within cross-functional teams, and support operational teams to deliver strong results, and have a passion for operational excellence, and possess a strong set of communication and analytical skills.


• Perform month end closing activities, analyze monthly financial results and partner with the operation teams to address variances.
• Conduct detailed inventory account analysis to support setting inventory targets.
• Manage annual physical inventory process including prep work, actual physical count, and provide data inquiry of outside auditor.
• Build the cost details for all products to develop product standard costs, and supports the business on costing Inquiries.
• Participate in annual budgeting process including capital planning, and establish product standard costs with updated scrap rates, routing, and BOM.
• Challenge assumptions for line speed, headcount and efficiency of items being produced.
• Analyzing operational performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Maintain internal controls consistent with corporate policies and good business practices.
• Provide oversight and auditing of operational BOM accuracy throughout the year.
• Help identify and quantify savings surfaced by continuous improvement and production teams.

Bachelor’s Degree Accounting/Finance.
Master degree desirable, and CMA preferred

Good understanding of General Accounting and Cost Accounting principles.
Experience with Cognos, and ERP systems. Experience with AS400 BPCS software a plus

4 - 6 years related business experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and product costing.

Must be hands on self-starter with attention to detail, and solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels in the company
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness of analysis reports and complete work in timely manner.
Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows based databases. Advanced proficiency with Excel preferred.
