POSITION PURPOSE
This position has the primary responsibility to implement warehouse best practices that will meet and/or exceed established goals for safety, quality, cost, service and culture. Manager directs daily operational activities utilizing a team of warehouse supervisors, non-exempt employees and union associates. Position is responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts while communicating warehouse activities including budget performance, metrics, status of key projects and efforts to create a culture of a high performing team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Responsible for all warehouse activities including but not limited to receiving, locating, issue, return and reconciliation of component inventories.
2. Schedule and guide labor assignments to meet manufacturing requirements.
3. Create a culture of accountability by expecting world class performance and safety behaviors.
4. Responsible to attend, participate and share information in site staff meetings.
5. Develop, monitor, and distribute departmental metrics that support company goals and initiatives.
6. Create and execute against plans to drive improvement in all business metrics.
7. Recommend modifications or innovative improvements to the Warehouse Operations to strive for continuous improvement.
8. Manage world class inventory accuracy by using cycle counting techniques including investigation and taking preventative actions to improve accuracy so that component inventories are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
9. Accountably for accuracy of receipts of component inventories and their transfer to manufacturing.
10. Support special projects and initiatives driven by the Operations Teams.
11. Select, train and mentor Warehouse Associates.
12. Work closely with leadership regarding customer shipments and financial targets.
13. Maintain tractor, trailers and forklift equipment leases and maintenance.
14. Develop and maintain a communications process that ensures proper exchange of information between shifts and locations.
15. Responsible for the guidelines set forth in the PDI Safety Policy and ongoing training for those guidelines.
16. Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment and fostering team concepts.
17. Responsible for continuously improving all operations using continuous improvement tools.
18. Conduct timely performance reviews and follow disciplinary procedures including all documentation as required.
19. Create, update and implement Standard Operating Procedures for both warehouse sites.
20. Ensure compliance of warehouses operations with company policies.
21. Confirm that all temperature monitoring devices are fully functional and accurately reported.
22. All other duties as assigned.


PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Inventory accuracy providing availability of component inventories to meet manufacturing requirements. Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and on time.
2. Meet or exceed goals for receiving component inventories by ensuring all receipts are entered in a timely manner.
3. Ensure all safety and quality goals are met for both warehouse sites.
4. Ensure facility is audit ready at all times
5. Timely and accurate completion of inventory transactions.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
Include minimum qualifications for formal training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or working experience. Identify the level of knowledge; skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required to perform the essential job responsibilities and duties competently.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s Degree

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of BPCS or similar ERP system
• Solid analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated results in improving warehouse productivity
• Lean manufacturing certification in warehouse management a plus
• Hazmat Certification required
• Cycle Count Processes and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 10 plus years of warehouse management experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Handles conflicts in professional manner
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and reasoning abilities
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as required
• Willing to train on cGMP requirements and company policies and procedures
• Ability to manage and track expenses related to fuel, storage, and truck maintenance.
