Job description
The Indoor Product Manager will develop LSI’s Outdoor product lines and market strategies for driving growth and profitability for the breadth of Lighting and Technology business segments. This individual will manage the overall short and long term P&L for the product line portfolios listed below. Expand the business with new products and lead cross-functional teams through the NPD Phasegate and Commercialization processes. This manager will also have lead activities like sales technical support, commercial support, assisting with forecasting, sales reports and quoting processes.
Core Job Functions
• Identify and develop new product opportunities and market penetration potentials
• Develop marketing strategy by product line, including target financial performance objectives
• Manage and align product segment business based on product management KPI (key performance indicators), 90 day transformation plan and visual management
• Partner with operations, sales planning, and engineering to ensure timeliness and accuracy
• Coordinate and present strategic business plans, product development and training
• Prepare and present line reviews and competitive analysis with current product lines
• Monitor and report on competitive activity and innovations
• Maintain competitive price comparisons
• Conduct field research and compile detailed improvement initiatives
• Make customer presentations, answer customer inquiries, and assist field sales
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience
• 4 year degree required, MBA preferred
• 5-10 years of product marketing experience, lighting industry experience preferred
• Self-Starter with the ability to identify the need to change and make the change happen
• Track record of leading and delivering sustainable, measurable improvements
• Analytical mindset geared towards overcoming barriers and reaching future potential customers
• Strategic influence and communication with external and internal groups
• Ability to act as a team leader and be a catalyst of change
