JOB SUMMARY
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley is seeking a multi-talented fundraising professional to manage the growth and development of the resource development program. The Resource Development Director will serve as the primary development officer of the organization with the responsibility to design, coordinate and implement a strategy that will generate corporate, community, public and private support for the Club. Approximately 50% of the Club’s $900,000 annual budget is currently raised through community contributions and foundation support.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
· The Resource Development Director will provide primary oversight for the fundraising activities of the organization’s Annual Campaign, the solicitation of corporations and foundations through proposal preparation and submission, special events, direct mail, major gift solicitation and planned giving.
· With the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, develop a resource development plan that includes both short-term and long-term strategic plans to meet the current and future needs of the organization and objectives that can be communicated to key volunteers.
· Provide primary oversight for fundraising campaigns and special events working side-by-side with volunteer committee chairs and committee members to provide strategic direction and achieve fundraising goals.
· Act as a key representative of the Boys & Girls Club in the community to communicate the mission, program impact and needs of the organization in an articulate and compelling manner.
· With the Resource Development Committee, oversee the design and production of development materials including the annual report, case statements, annual campaign materials and other such material as needed.
· With the Executive Director develop an annual development budget including all expenditures related to fundraising and development program management.
· Prepare regular detailed reports to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors on resource development and progress toward development goals.
