Then the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster is looking for you!

We are seeking a reliable individual to plan, supervise and implement a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs focused on academics, character, leadership, and service learning. Under the supervision of the Clubhouse Director, the Program Coordinator has responsibility for assigned areas, program implementation, and supervision of assigned personnel.

Expectations:

  • Recruit youth for membership.
  • Ensure safety and security of facility.
  • Protect health and safety of the children and personnel.
  • Execute planned programs.
  • Delegate to implement leadership and citizenship.
  • Participate in agency-wide events and programs as assigned.
  • Maintain smooth flow of communication with Clubhouse Director and staff.
  • Report and record as prescribed by Clubhouse Director.
  • Implement compliance with all contracts & licensing agencies.
  • Supervise food service operation.
  • Monitor and control assigned monies.
  • Assist in coordination of the services and delivery of services.
  • Demonstrate concrete achievement of assigned unit objectives per quarterly plan.
  • Supervise the work of part-time staff assisting with programming.
  • Perform community outreach work.
  • Supervise the building and specific activities as assigned.
  • Provide direct service to individual youth assigned.
  • Provide direct supervision to groups of youth in assigned areas.
  • Assist in implementation of youth’s involvement into core program activities.
  • Publicize programs in-house through bulletin boards, posters, and word of mouth.
  • Other job related function as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • Valid PA Driver's License preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in youth development or education required
  • Understanding of the population that the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster serves required

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $28,000.00 to $30,000.00 /year

     

 

 

 

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Understand the City of Lancaster, understand the population that the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster serves, child welfare law, have an understanding of educational and recreational activities which will meet the interested members and meet objectives, knowledge to relate to youngsters of all ages effectively
  • High school diploma or more AND Valid PA Drivers’ License
  • No prior experience or on the job training

(Informing, Listening, Presenting, Writing) Interpersonal-Maximize potential of staff to work collaboratively toward resolution of conflicts.

Working conditions - Regularly required to return to work in emergency situations on an as needed basis/ OR / Regularly required to travel to parts of the county and enter homes alone/ OR / Regularly required to play games and be active with the youth/ OR / Regularly required to clean up unsanitary conditions/ OR / Regularly required to work irregular hours, long hours and some weekends.
