JOB SUMMARY

Teen Services Coordinator manages the overall daily operations of the Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County (BGCLC) Teen Programs at our Clubhouse and Extension Site with the primary concern for Club member discipline, safety, overall program delivery, supervision, facilities management, community and parent relations, and membership administration to include outreach. As well as plan, implement and instruct programming, for youth in grades 6-12 that align with our priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, Healthy Lifestyles, and STEM. Programs should promote development of Club member’s physical and social skills and be adaptable to youth. Teen Services Coordinator works under the guidance and supervision of the Club Director, assists and oversees Club functions in areas of Visions Scanning program, Club cleanliness, role modeling, programming and special events.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent in experience working with Teens
  • Minimum of one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required
  • Certifications and credentials in respective skill-based activity highly preferred
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred
  • Valid State Driver’s License and ability to obtain a 15 passenger van license.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Experience in working with children and knowledge of youth development.
  • Experience and ability in creating interactive and educational activities
  • Strong Organization, Time Management Skills and ability to set Priorities
  • Obtain strong Work Ethic, Positive Attitude, High Level of Energy and Flexibility
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, and Attention to Detail
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
  • Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit. Able to use hands and fingers on a (computer) keyboard and other office equipment.
