Frank Callen Mentoring Program Director

Frank Callen Boys & Girls Clubs (FCBGC) Savannah, GA Job Description Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the FCBGC, the Frank Callen Mentoring Program Director is responsible for oversight and ongoing development and implementation of the Frank Callen Mentoring Program. Ideally, the Mentoring Program Director is a Mental Health Professionals who will establish the Program Model by recruiting, training, and matching volunteers, as well as responsible for managing risk. They ensure uniformity of training curriculum, data collection, outcome objectives, and ongoing clinical support. The Mentoring Director serves as the clinical mind for the program and is responsible for messaging, marketing, and brokering linkages to all available resources (e.g., facilities, human resources, risk management, volunteers, etc.). The Program Director will participate in all training and orientation session. This position is concerned with the delivery and coordination of services in the community. To this end, the Program Director must have the interpersonal skills to interact with volunteers, youth, and the community. The Program Director effectively manages and ensures compliance with all aspects of grant and the partnership agreement with the funding sources. Contract and budget management, organization and systems management, and program development skills required. The Association Director ensures that all goals and objectives are met for the program in their association and must have the ability to clearly document outcomes and data per program protocols.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
· This position requires experience working with the target population plus prefers a master’s degree in social work or counseling. The incumbent must possess a variety of skills to include written and oral communication and the ability to effectively deliver services through a variety of systems.
· Experience implementing and delivering a program by following specific program model, curriculum and guidelines
· Completion of all required paperwork per the partnership agreement and as specified by the OJJDP, United Way, City of Savannah and other grant requirements
· Provide accurate, timely completion and submission of all mentor/mentee – related records and documents
· Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement the mentee growth plans, utilizing various intervention methods and techniques
· Comply with the legal standards for mandated reporting
· Work with all Boys & Girls Club partners to ensure positive and consistent relationship
· As needed, attend regular meetings with volunteers, families, and with staff from schools and/or community based organizations
· Provide input as to how the mentoring program can better reflect the cultural diversity of the children and families.
· Attend all required training as required by Boys & Girls Clubs of America
· Actively participates in Frank Callen BGC events and activities.
· Develop an approved plan for professional development.
· Other duties as specified by the Executive Director

· Must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
· You must be available for some evening and weekend events
· You must be able to travel to all program activity sites
All employees working with the FCBGC are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Fingerprints will be taken upon commencement of employment and will be submitted to the Association Office Human Resources department prior to beginning the first day of work. Employees may be rechecked every two years.
