JOB SUMMARY

Oversee, and provide leadership for operations and programs with primary focus on program development, quality and implementation; supervision and development of assigned Directors and other team members; facilities management; partnership development; and budget development and management.  Must be cooperative, friendly and create a safe and harmonious environment.  Abide by and support the Club mission to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of a minimum of three -five years in a non-profit agency, Boys & Girls Club or similar organization; planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating supplemental education programs for youth ages 6 - 18.
  • Proven ability to organize direct and coordinate operations in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel; and ability to deal effectively with members, staff and the general public to effectively handle member discipline issues.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities, at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make public presentations and internal group presentations, listen and respond effectively and appropriately communicate a vision and gain buy in to the vision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
  • Leadership skills that evoke support and confidence; able to effectively manage conflict and encourage others to excel.
  • Considerable knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
  • Ability to manage program operations at multiple locations while working closely with Executive Director, volunteers and direct reports.
  • Possess basic qualities of good character, personality and leadership that promote a positive image of the Boys & Girls Club.
  • Possess and maintain a valid California Drivers’ License and be approved by the Club's auto insurance provider.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
