JOB SUMMARY
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth is currently seeking candidates for the position of Education Specialist I. The Education Specialist I, under direct supervision of the Branch Director, is responsible for assisting youth reach their full academic potential and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities
· Planning and creating age appropriate programs and activities for small and large groups of youth, facilitating lessons and curriculum, homework help, High Yield Learning Activities, providing youth the academic resources and tools needed to achieve on time grade progression, monitoring academic progress, being a positive role model, school visits, reporting and data tracking.
· Also responsible for building relationships, tracking educational data, member safety, and preparing youth for their future.
· Responsible for supervision and development of the Assistant Education Specialist.
· Goal is to help members achieve academic success and provide supplemental learning programs and activities.
· At the branches, youth receive targeted services in a safe, supportive environment from staff who believe in the organization’s mission.
· The Club experience focuses on three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Positive Citizenship.
· This position is exempt full time and requires employees to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday – Friday during normal branch hours. Additional hours such as evenings and weekends as needed.
