JOB SUMMARY                        Part Time Only

The Healthy Lifestyles Instructor coordinates and instructs creative and fun physical activities (indoor and outdoor) for youth in grades 1-12. Programs should promote development of Club member’s physical and social skills and be adaptable to youth with a variety of fitness levels and ability. The Healthy Lifestyles Instructor works under the guidance and supervision of the Club Director, assists and oversees Club functions in areas of sports league statistics, Club cleanliness, role modeling, programming and special events.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience working in the health & fitness field
• Experience in working with children and adults
• Knowledge of youth development
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
• Ability to deal with the general public
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
• Obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 3 month of employment
• Valid State Driver’s License
