KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or university
· Five or more years of progressively responsible related work experience in program management, preferably in the public sector, which includes supervisory level experience and facility management, or equivalent experience
· Must pass National Criminal Background Check • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
· CPR/First Aid certifications – able to obtain on the job
· May be required to drive agency vans, if so, must meet licensing, insurance and drug test requirements
· Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff
· Demonstrated ability to utilize the skills of professional, technical, and volunteer personnel at branches and within the community
· Skills and demonstrated success in fund-raising and special events
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with individuals and groups
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people, parents and community leaders
· Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems
· Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
· Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management
· Ability to effectively coordinate and complete multiple duties and assignments concurrently and in a timely manner
· Ability to meet the travel requirements of the position
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position involves lifting, bending, standing, walking, talking, sitting, hearing, driving, reaching, keyboarding, grasping and seeing and limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, chemicals, dust, dirt, etc. This individual is required to work around youth and adults and at times in a moderately noisy environment.
