JOB SUMMARY

Facility

  • Ensure grounds & facility are clean, safe and free of risk at all times
  • Ensure grounds & facility are aesthetically inviting & engaging at all times
  • Ensure supplies are provided to support the above; maintenance, janitorial, etc.
  • Ensure grounds & facility emergency provisions and procedures are current, appropriate and practiced on a regular basis; fire/tornado/flood drill, alarm & extinguisher updates, etc.

 

Kids

  • Recruit members
  • Register members
  • Orient members
  • Set standards and provide accountability for members
  • Develop, discipline, counsel, suspend & expel members if necessary
  • Provide opportunities for members
  • Provide expectations for those opportunities
  • Provide recognition for members
  • Provide FUN for members
  • Provide physical, emotional, mental and psychological safety and security for members in house and out (if possible)
  • Provide appropriate developmental tools for members
  • Provide supportive relationships for members through staff and volunteers
  • Ensure that members feel Belonging, Usefulness, Influence & Competence in something or some way at all times

 

Parents

  • Require registration & orientation of parents
  • Set standards and provide accountability for parents
  • Provide opportunities for parents
  • Provide expectations for those opportunities
  • Provide recognition for families
  • Provide resources & developmental tools for families
  • Provide supportive relationships for families
  • Require payment and/or scholarship criteria be met and approved
  • Require parent involvement, contribution, participation, investment
  • Provide communication with parents through newsletters, parent conferences, phone calls, letters, etc.

Volunteers

Reporting & Member Tracking

  • Record all membership information annually and as needed
  • Record membership attendance daily
  • Record programming attendance daily through staff
  • Provide monthly reports (EOM’s)
  • Assist E.D with annual reports (if needed)
  • Complete weekly, and monthly grant reports submit

 

Food

  • Temp reports
  • FP & SFSP count reports
  • Food receipts
  • Current license
  • Agency Visits
  • Order food as needed

 

Financial Oversight

  • Accept payment from parents using & provide receipts
  • Make deposits
  • Communicate w/ Admin. Ass. Re: in kind and other donations
  • Provide receipts for credit card purchases
  • Obtain approval from U.D for purchases exceeding $100
  • Ensure appropriate money-handling with YDP’s
  • Work with E.D re: annual budget development

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 2 years at least working in Youth Environment
  • Able to perform/complete tasks listed in Job Summary
  • Able to pass background checks
