JOB SUMMARY

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE BIG ISLAND IS SEEKING A HILO CLUB DIRECTOR

 

Our Mission: To inspire and enable Big Island youth to be productive and responsible citizens, through quality programs in a safe and caring environment. Are you or do you know someone who is passionate about working with youth?

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Demonstrates leadership to assure good conduct, safety and development of members.

·         Establishes and maintains Club programs and activities that support youth development strategies.

·         Identifies and supports training and development opportunities for assigned staff.

·         Ensures productive and effective performance by all staff and volunteers.

·         Develops and maintains partnerships with parents, schools, community leaders and organizations.

·         Demonstrates ownership and pride in creation and execution of Club culture through leadership and inspiration.

 

This is a full-time exempt position located in Hilo. Work experience and knowledge of Hawaii community residents and businesses preferred. The position includes a generous benefits package including; Basic medical and dental fully covered for the employee.  A 5% employer contribution to a 401-K after one year with the company; Group Term Life and AD&D Insurance; Long Term Disability insurance; PTO accrued at 5 hours per two week period starting immediately and increasing over time. Eleven paid holidays per year. Salary range is negotiable and based on work history and experience.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

·         Has facilities hands-on management experience.

·         Has a bachelor’s degree, supervisory, budgeting, program management and youth development experience, and excellent communication skills.

·         Ability to manage proper record keeping and reports including activities and events conducted, grant deliverables, grant reporting, daily participation figures, notable achievements and problems or issues.
