JOB SUMMARY

The Art Coordinator is the staff that will plan daily art activities and weekly programs. The Art Coordinator will provide support for the day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Art Room is cleaned up at the end of the day with all the equipment being properly stored. Tables and chairs must be up and wiped off.
• Monthly Activities Calendar is posted and followed.
• Art Room rules are posted and enforced.
• Club is decorated with art from the kids and Art Coordinator monthly reflecting the monthly theme and/or holiday/event.
• Members are rewarded through positive recognition including Art Youth of the Month.
• Promotes safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times.
• Provides guidance and is a role model to members.
• All members are treated with respect in all interactions.
• Employee is always in position to supervise all kids.
• Staff should be spread out in different areas of the Club ensuring members’ safety.
• Supplies are being used responsibly and materials are not being wasted.
• One field trip per semester is planned to fit into the core area of “The Arts”.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma, Some College Preferred.
• Artistic talent a must.
• Experience teaching art to students of all ages
• Able to control classrooms
• Able to pass background checks
