JOB SUMMARY

We are a growing organization located in North Central North Carolina, approximately 30-45 minutes north of Raleigh and Durham serving 5 counties close to the Virginia border. We are in search of dedicated, professional people who are passionate about serving youth and creating a transformational experience for youth ages 5-18. We have a soon to be open position for Unit Director that requires someone who can supervise staff, work with the community and articulate our mission, someone who is organized and can maintain files and records in regards to grant funded programs. Must be able to communicate effectively with key stake holders, community leaders, parents, children with the overall goal to serve more youth and provide an excellent program experience. The position open is for our Club operations in Warren County. We currently have two extensions operating there with plans to open two more locations in partnership with Warren County Schools.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience supervising staff
• Knowledge and experience working with youth in an afterschool setting
• Must be very organized and able to maintain records for grant funded projects & programs
• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years’ experience working with youth or in a nonprofit organization.
• In lieu of bachelor's degree, must have a minimum of 6 years proven work experience working with youth
