JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall planning and operation of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club programs in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization; provides leadership, direction and support to the Corps Officers in developing organizational goals, attaining/allocating resources, and establishing policies; additionally, directs/manages overall operations of the Boys & Girls Club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

·         Three years’ progressively responsible experience in a non-profit agency or Boys and Girls Club which includes management and supervision, with at least two years in a leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of experience.

·         Knowledge of the principles and practices of recreation program development.

·         Knowledge of the principles and practices of facility management.

·         Knowledge of the principles and practices of volunteer recruitment.

·         Knowledge of the principles and practices of community relations, development and fundraising.

·         Ability to supervise, lead motivate and influence the staff and patrons of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

·         Ability to develop and implement promotional and fundraising activities to enhance the outreach and financial efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

·         Ability to enforce the Boys & Girls Club rules and to resolve conflicts among patrons visiting the Club in order to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff.

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Non-Profit Management or Education And Three years progressively responsible experience in a non-profit agency or Boys and Girls Club which includes management and supervision, with at least two years in a leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of experience OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
