JOB SUMMARY

The position will manage daily operations at a Boys & Girls Club branch. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planning, promoting, coordinating and implementing all youth programming; supervising staff and volunteers; and serving as facility supervisor. The position will work closely with school and community partners to develop a collaborative youth development program that meets the needs of neighborhood youth.

Key Roles

• Acts as primary supervisor at a Boys & Girls Club branch
• Establishes a program setting that ensures the health and safety of youth
• Plans programs and activities in five core program areas consistent with the organization's youth development mission
• Develops program plans and facilitates activities that appeal to youth in grades 1-12
• Manages assigned program grants and reporting
• Enhances and stewards partnerships to support ongoing programs
• Recruits and coordinates a 10-member Parents' Club
• Maintains positive, productive relationships with the staff and administration of partner schools

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• Four-year college degree
• 2+ years’ management experience in Education or Youth Development sectors, preferably with Boys & Girls Clubs
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise others in a professional setting
• Strong organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Solid working knowledge of youth development principles and guidance techniques, including experience working directly with youth
• Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
• Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office suite applications
