KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· Two years’ experience participating in and coordinating similar youth programming, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
· Knowledge of the principles and practices of recreation planning and management.
· Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission, philosophy, culture, protocol and organizational structure.
· Knowledge of the principles and practices of public relations and fund-raising.
· Ability to recruit, train and supervise volunteers.
· Ability to promote the Club and recruit youth participation.
· Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Child Development, Education, Business Administration, Ministry, or a related field.
Certifications Required
· Valid State Driver’s License
· First Aid and C.P.R. Certification (or ability to obtain)
· State Licensed Director's Credentials (preferred)
