KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· All applicants must have a college degree, previous experience working with youth, an interest in working with teens, pass a CORI & SORI background check & be able to drive a 15 passenger van.
· Ensure the teen program conforms to the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod & Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission.
· Responsible for formulating and recommending operating policies for the teen program to the Assistant Executive Director.
· Identifies teen’s needs and interests to create a teen centered environment.
· Develops and implements strategies to recruit teens.
· Develops a teen council and engages teens in the process of suggesting age appropriate teen programs and activities within the five core program areas.
· Creates a monthly calendar of programs, activities and special events.
· Attends regular staff meetings to involve staff in the program planning, updates them on teen activities.
· Supervises Teen Program staff and recommends staffing levels to the Assistant Executive Director.
· Oversees transportation of youth to and from the Club when needed; will be required to drive the Club van daily to and from programs.
· Manages budget expenses within approved budget for teen program areas.
· Manages teen grants and ensures that deliverables are met.
· Oversees special programs and events—Keystone Club, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs. Manages Teen Program Instagram, Facebook, and other marketing/social media sites used to promote the upcoming activities for the teen program.
