KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· Bachelor’s degree or education/experience equivalency.
· A minimum of two years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and control expenses.
· Certification in CPR and First Aid.
· Possession of a valid state driver license.
· Meet the eligibility of insurance company regulations for operating Club vehicle(s).
· Safety practices and procedures relating to the work;
· Computer applications related to the work.
· Principles related to development of youth between 6 and 18 years of age, specifically 13-18.
· Supervisory principles and practices, specifically with Teens and other staff
· Group leadership skills and understanding of group dynamics.
· Methods, practices, and techniques used in the delivery of Teen programs and services.
· Assessment and development of programming that meet the needs of the participants.
· Plan, organize, develop and deliver an array of Teen programs and services;
· Implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for assigned programs;
· Maintain accurate records of work performed;
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, across the Agency
· Ensure that programs and activities are carried out in compliance with agency requirement, at all sites.
· Make effective public presentation of program information;
· Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive participant records.
Relationships
Internal: Maintain daily contact with Club staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards; discuss issues; and provide/receive information. Have contact with members as needed to discipline and/or advise.
External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to promote/market the Club.
