JOB SUMMARY

The Arts Director provides club members with daily programs and activities which include elements of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s (BGCA) core program areas of The Arts and Boys & Girls Club of Massillon (BGCM) lead programs. These programs and activities are age appropriate, produce measurable outcomes, and enhance a member’s sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Administers and / or assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of the following BGCA programs:

• Fine Arts Program
• Youth of the Year Program

• Administers and / or assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of the following lead programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon:

• Earn & Learn
• Awards Banquet

• Provides necessary janitorial upkeep of room / program space dedicated to this program area.
• Provides Director of Operations with timely information regarding maintenance needs of this program area.
• Provides daily supervision of volunteers dedicated to this program area.
• Attends and supports all special functions as requested.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• All applicants must complete a criminal background check.
• This position requires that the employee must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with current insurance.
• Ability to work in loud environment.
• Experience working with youth of all ages.

Monday - Friday with some Saturdays required School Year Schedule 3:00PM – 8:00PM Summer, School days off and school break schedule 8:00AM – 5:00PM - or - 8:00AM - 1:00PM -or- 12:00Noon - 5:00PM (Includes staff training days and program evaluation days)
