JOB SUMMARY

The Member Services Assistant provides varied, complex, and often confidential assistance to assigned Directors, associated supervisory and professional staff, as necessary. Manage overall operational recording and tracking of major reports, assist in creating a data and impact driven culture, with primary concern for data management processes, guidelines, implementation, reporting and record keeping, communication with appropriate administrative and Club staff. May provide guidance to other support staff regarding membership, program, and volunteer database; and performs related work as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

·        Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred, or three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook skills.

·        Possession of a valid state driver license.

·        Standard office administrative and secretarial practices and procedures.

·        Modern office methods, techniques, business English, spelling and arithmetic.

·        Basic understanding of Boys & Girls Clubs' programs and services offered.

·        Record-keeping, report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques.

·        Modern technology including Microsoft Office programs.

·        Type correspondence, memos, contract documents, agreements, minutes, and reports from dictation; rough draft, and general instructions.

·        Review finished materials for completeness, accuracy, format, compliance with policies and procedures, and appropriate English usage.

·        Multitask and manage multiple projects.

·        Prepare and process various documents, forms and reports.

·        Objectively evaluate, make effective decisions and develop alternative solutions.

·        Produce various documents utilizing modern technology including newsletters, presentations, graphs, brochures, forms, and correspondence.
