JOB SUMMARY

The Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is seeking a dedicated, career-oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead the agency in fulfilling its mission of providing the needed leadership, guidance, and inspiration that will help young girls and boys grow up to be responsible adults. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

·         Provide leadership and direction to ensure the effective operation and delivery of programs within the club.

 

Strategic Planning

·         Contribute to the planning and implementation of the strategic plan regarding activities relating to donor solicitations and other club fundraising efforts.

 

Board Development

·         Ensure active participation by board members and support effective board roles and functions.

 

Resource Development/Financial Management

·         Direct resource development efforts.  Write grant proposals for foundation support; solicit corporations and civic groups for donations; plan and implement special fundraising events. Ensure the annual budget is funded and organization has adequate cash flow. 

·         Develop and manage the financial development plan.  Ensure development, implementation and monitoring of the Club’s annual budget in collaboration with financial management Board and staff.

 

 

Technology

·         Ensure the development and implementation of plan for updating existing technology and resources.  Ensure the acquisition and allocation of funds for implementing and updating exiting technology and resources.

 

Partnership Development

·         Develop strategic alliances with local civic and business leadership organizations and local, county, and state government agencies.  Develop collaboration partnerships with other youth serving organizations. Increase visibility of Club programs, services and activities and maintain good public relations.

 

 

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

·         The successful candidate will have a BA degree, administrative experience with a non-profit agency, a demonstrated record of community-based achievement, and successful experience in raising funds. 

·         This position requires a working knowledge of youth-related issues, strong fiscal management skills, and excellent speaking, writing, marketing, and public relations skills. 

·         This candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to oversee a budget and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with the board of directors, the Club’s staff (approximately 40 staff members at five sites), community volunteers and agency funding sources.
