JOB SUMMARY
- Promotes safety of teen members, quality programs, and positive appearance of the Club at all times.
- Provides positive guidance, discipline and role modeling to teen members at all times.
- Plans, organizes, and implements a range of Teen Programs that fall in line with 5 core areas of Boys & Girls Clubs. Includes lesson plans and program reports.
- Promotes and stimulates program participation, recruit new members, and assist with other outreach.
- Participates in Staff meetings conducted by Program or Branch Director.
- Participates in Club special initiatives and events. (IE: Youth of the Year)
- May be asked to drive Club Vans
- Follow and adhere to all of BGCF Policies and Procedures.
- Willingness to be trained or additional skills as your position dictates.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and carry out daily programs and activities in one or more core program areas using the YDS adopted by the BGCF to enhance the potential for developing a sense of competence, belonging, usefulness, power and influence.
- Position yourself in areas of the club to continually monitor and supervise the safety and behavior of teen members. Ensures the program areas are safe with evacuation and emergency procedures posted and first aid kits available.
- Provide teen members guidance to help them fulfill and make appropriate choices about their education, personal, physical, social, emotional, vocational and spiritual needs.
- Ensure equipment is in good condition.
- Manages and submit necessary administrative paperwork needed for grant and program reports. (IE. Lesson Plans, Pre and Post Tests, ADA, Accident or Incident Reports)
- Promotes and markets programs to teen members, their families and community.
