KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
· 6 — 8 years of senior-level business management experience, with an understanding of giving trends, best practices, major fundraising events, and nonprofit organizations.
· Significant experience with a mission-driven approach to securing funding from individuals, corporations and foundations with proven results in achieving or exceeding goals.
· Career track record that shows stability with an organization and capacity to develop and nurture relationships culminating in major gift success including planned giving.
· Entrepreneurial, creative problem solver with background in participatory management.
· Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to serve as a key spokesperson for the Club.
· Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a Board and other volunteers, as well as civic and business leaders, in a collaborative and respectful manner.
· Team player who can give and take advice and support, is flexible and adaptable, a good listener, patient and a true people person who excels in relationship-building and thrives in a synergistic environment.
· Strategic planner with demonstrated ability to develop creative fund development plans to serve as a guiding force, coupled with a willingness to embrace change.
· High-level team player who can foster a spirit of pride, fellowship and loyalty among board volunteers and employees throughout the organization, a bridge builder with a long-term vision of success.
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and development database programs such as Donor Perfect, plus, evaluate, implement and properly utilize new technologies to enhance BGCSA’s resource development processes
