JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Resource Development Specialist works with the Board and Fundraising Committees to plan and execute resource development strategies and monitor progress against agency goals. Supports CEO in positioning Board and Committees to cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies and others.
Key Roles (essential job responsibilities)
· Oversees the planning and logistics of all fundraising events.
· Researches and analyzes agency corporate, individual and foundation donor base and then recommends solicitation strategies.
· Prepares written materials and takes notes at committee meetings.
· Attends Special Event and fundraising and other related committee meetings and takes notes.
· Manages social media, email blast, newsletters and other marketing collateral. Prepares correspondence, press releases and public service announcements.
· Solicits donations.
· Collects, receipts and controls donated items.
· Assists in developing and distribution of thank you letters
· Operates tele and cyber marketing program to include; on-line solicitation and communication with donors.
· Collects and maintains donor records in Clubs database.
· Prepares bulk mailings, designs and produces fundraising flyers and brochures.
· Assist in developing strategic alliances and community relationships.
· Works a variety of scheduled hours, including some evenings, early mornings and occasional weekends.
· Performs related duties as assigned
In addition to the specific professional job duties, must also possess the ability to:
· Effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Donor Perfect, Greater Giving and other computer software programs.
· Work effectively with volunteers, Board members and other community members.
· Represent the Club positively in the community.
· Develop fundraising and marketing reports
· Collect donor information.
· Should be able to lift 50 pounds
· Will require the use of personal vehicle for club business and must carry auto liability insurance with a minimum of $300,000 coverage. Name Alameda Boys & Girls Club as additional insured.
· Continue personal and professional growth by participating in trainings/classes.
· Prioritize assignments.
· Set up forms, letters and reports in a professional format from hand written copy.
· Ability to work independently and monitor own performance objectives
