Title Director, Corporate Cause Partnerships, Operations

Description Under the direct supervision of the National Vice President, Corporate & Cause Partnerships (NVPCCP), the Director, Corporate & Cause Operations (DCCO) manages and directs key operational functions that make the department run smoothly and efficiently in both the short and long-term including but not limited to the following: contracts, stewardship, internal and external communications portals. This position has the responsibility for high-level interaction and strategic involvement with all levels of, primarily, internal stakeholders meaning BGCA and BGCs. The DCCO must be flexible, strategic, insightful, self-aware and effective, using different strategies and leading without authority. The position must build relationships effectively internally to ensure consistently strong contract negotiation and execution, collaboratively reporting on the monthly partnership status as well as the spending on financial resources, ensuring on target financial performance clear line of sight on contracted deliverables. Position is responsible for the creation, updating and management of Corporate on BGCA.net and SharePoint. Position will ensure that Great Futures Campaign stewardship plan is followed and will suggest changes or additions as appropriate.

Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field, or
education/experience equivalency.

Experience:
Minimum of five to eight years nonprofit, or equivalent, experience managing complex relationship. Experience in sales, account management, budget management, program or project management in the nonprofit or for profit industry sector. Work experience in the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national or local Club) preferred.


Skills:
Proficiency in prioritizing tasks; ability to think strategically; demonstrated high skills in persuasion and influence without authority; demonstrated high standards of ethics and integrity; project and time management skills; impeccable verbal and written presentation skills; solid business acumen; analytically-minded with a strong attention to detail; able to interact and build relationships with all levels of management, including C-level; pronounced problem resolution skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Proficient with database software in a Raiser’s Edge environment and project management software as well as other cloud-based systems. Must be a self-starter able to work in both a team and independent environment.

Environmental and Working Conditions:
Normal internal office environment; minimal travel (can be up to 1-3 days or more in a given month, including weekends - depending upon scheduling requirements). The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country by using a map or other direction methods. Ability to travel by car and by airplane.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to exchange, clearly and concisely: ideas, facts, and/or technical information in person, by email and by telephone. Physical requirements include: sight, sitting for at least four hours per day, stooping, grasping/motor dexterity skills; skills essential for successful communications include public speaking and writing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• In partnership with the all parties, manage and drive, as appropriate, the contract process such that all contracts are moved through the BGCA National Headquarters for approval and execution in no more than ten (10) business days from initial communication.
o Liaise with DCCPs to ensure a solid contract packet is distributed. All major pieces of contracts should have been agreed to and budget approved prior to approval distribution.
o Distribute contract packet and monitor forty-eight (48) hour turnaround time for approval from each level. Problem solve as necessary and revise and amend as necessary.
o Prepare contract packets for final approval and prep for execution by President.
o Distribute completed contract packets to stakeholders and ensure that completed packet is put onto proper Sharepoint site(s) such that all have access. Remove other versions that are no longer applicable.
o Recommend and implement periodic changes to contract process to ensure ten (10) business day turnaround.
• In partnership with all Corporate & Cause colleagues, as well as IT, create, organize, manage, post, blog and answer questions on BGCA.net.
o Create, maintain and refresh content on main “splash page” of BGCA.net.
o Facilitate creation of appropriate individual partner pages in a timely fashion, working through the appropriate Directors, Account Relationships of all individual Corporate Partner pages ensuring that appropriate tagging takes place and maintenance to SharePoint.
o Other duties as identified.
• In partnership with appropriate levels of organization, assist in the budget creation process of accounts, keeping in mind goals of Operating, Pass-through, annual priorities, etc.
o Ensure that you and all other staff understand who will be permitted to charge against a partnership or grant and that when the contract executes, that is reinforced and documented.
• Serve as primary contact for Sharepoint for Corporate & Cause team. Responsible for building, migrating and maintaining information for the corporate section of this shared site.

• In partnership with National Director(s) and under the direct supervision and input from the National Vice President, Corporate & Cause Partnerships, distribute, monitor and summarize monthly partnership status report (inclusive of monthly over/under) of all accounts such that there is a monthly balancing of spending reports for accounts and understanding of underspent and overspent on a real-time rolling basis as well as a realistic and clear line of sight as to the status of all partnerships, assigning them a designation of red, yellow or green with supporting information.
• Monitor and ensure appropriate and successful stewardship of accounts and ensure track in appropriate database system.
o Help launch the systematic stewardship of all accounts and monitor progress.
o Make proactive recommendations to ensure that all stewardship takes place.
o Become “Power User” and train others to be “power users” in the database system that we track donor stewardship.
o Ensure that donor recognition and thank you happens with all corporate accounts ensuring that appropriate donor stewardship letters are sent within the prescribed time frame. Liaise with other (all) levels of the Department and/or the organization to ensure this deliverable, a Presidential priority, is met or exceeded.
• Work with Specialists, Corporate & Cause Partnerships on monthly reports and evaluation and/or Governor and Trustee reports needed by NVPCCP.
• Attend (when needed) and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings to aid business development and successful account execution.
• Participate in monthly account review sessions as requested to ensure partnerships are progressing, spending is on target and deliverables are being met.
• Participate in national conferences and collaborations with strategic third parties which further BGCA’s mission.
• Assist with other projects as requested by NVPCCP.
